New Fabric Cuffs by chinamommy!!
FABRIC CUFFS!!!
I've been working like a dog down in my studio to get these done!!
Eeeek, I'm really happy with how they turned out!
Darling says the one below should be called "Ballerina"
The cuffs turned out pretty tiny (we have abnormally small wrists in this house, so I'm headed down to make a "normal" adult size!). These are best for XS wrists, even Darling can wear them!
They are approx: 7-1/2 inches from end to end and about 6-3/4 inches when closed (velcro closure).
Ok, not a cuff, just something I made quite a while ago and have never taken pictures of!

Monday...
I'm sure that exciting title sucked you right in, didn't it?
Well, it IS Monday :)
I'm so excited because tomorrow, my new baby arrives...
(No, not THAT kind of baby- although if you know of one that needs a family, I would LOVE another baby!!)
I'm already getting nervous thinking about the users manual...
I'm sure it's 9,857 pages long, full of words like
Mesopotamia and medulla oblongata.
Are you like me, you just want INSTANT knowledge?! My friend "C" and I were talking a while back about having a chip of knowledge just put in our head, how lazy are we?!
I'm going to buckle down and learn this baby because my point and shoot is just not up for the challenge of making my blog famous!
This weekend I felt rotten, the pollen is kickin' my butt, so I hung out in my basement studio away from the ragweed!
No matter how much STUFF I have, I am ALWAYS short of something for my jewelry! I got a lot of stuff started though and am really excited about my birdie necklaces, which need a better name!

I'm working on some really cute cuffs!!
I hope I can get my sewing machine to work with me today so I can get them done!!
All this space and I am always bunched up at the end with the entire counter COVERED with stuff I'm not using... I REALLY need a storage re-do!

Yesterday we spent the whole day on the golf course, which is 2nd (in my mind) to a great junk shop. This is darlings 2nd year taking lessons, I figure they will come in handy when she's a famous surgeon and has to entertain whoever Dr's entertain on the golf course!
Let me just relive my glory shot for a moment, because I'm going to be living off this fame for years! We played a scramble -if you don't golf, that means 4 of us hit the ball and we take the best shot each time. They had a scholarship hole where you made a donation to this scholarship and if you made it within this circle you won double your $ back. Well, I gave her EVERY bit of cash in my wallet, I had a good feeling about this shot...
I hit my ball and don't ya know, right in the circle...
and then, right in the cup!! Yep- I got it in the hole in 2 shots with no help from the others, these were BOTH my shots!!
Did I mention I had $2, so I won $4!! Whoo-hooo, who is a high roller??!!

My Bird Necklace!
I've made jewelry for years, but honestly, I've never worn any of it... I don't know why except if I'm really honest, I guess I would admit I don't make things that are my style. How weird is that? and dumb!! So I made this necklace the other day and just fell in love with it. It's totally my style: whimsical, eclectic, and unique with a lot of pink thrown in. As I was taking pictures of it, I decided I was going to keep it! I even wore it to a friends party, so now the deal is sealed cause it has my cooties on it! I'm going to be making more, all One-of-a-Kind (OOAK) so check back if you're interested because more are in the works right NOW in my studio!!

I'm on a jelly roll....
Well, don't ya know... I'm on a roll photographing all my artwork and jewelry and then, the sun crawls behind a rain cloud and I'm stuck! I went back and looked at some of my old pictures and boy oh boy, the inside shots are REALLY bad!! I didn't even have green tomatoes back then...boo!

a little plug about my BABY HAT DRIVE
As most of you know, my daughter was adopted from China and I left a little piece of my heart there. I'm collecting hats to keep the children and babies warm in the winter. Many live in orphanages that are without heat.
