1976 called, it wants its toys back!!

Oh girls, we met my parents last night and they brought 2 HUGE boxes of my childhood toys!

You can imagine the JOY and HAPPINESS on the Misters face!!!  He could hardly contain his EXCITEMENT!!! 

When I met the Mister his home was the picture of perfection, everything in place and not a bit of "decoration" sitting around, it kind of had that "no one lives here" look.  You can imagine how our home has blossomed since we got married!!  I, like some of you out there, believe that more is more (Oh, thank you Danielle for that quote:)!  I'm sure when he saw the boxes,  he was mentally putting everything away-- deep in a closet!!

Yesterday we spent the whole day on the golf course, which is 2nd (in my mind) to a great junk shop.  This is darlings 2nd year taking lessons, I figure they will come in handy when she's a famous surgeon and has to entertain whoever Dr's entertain on the golf course!

Let me just relive my glory shot for a moment, because I'm going to be living off this fame for years!  We played a scramble -if you don't golf, that means 4 of us hit the ball and we take the best shot each time.  They had a scholarship hole where you made a donation to this scholarship and if you made it within this circle you won double your $ back.  Well, I gave her EVERY bit of cash in my wallet, I had a good feeling about this shot...

I hit my ball and don't ya know, right in the circle...

and then, right in the cup!!  Yep- I got it in the hole in 2 shots with no help from the others, these were BOTH my shots!!

Did I mention I had $2, so I won $4!!  Whoo-hooo, who is a high roller??!!

My Bird Necklace!

I've made jewelry for years, but honestly, I've never worn any of it... I don't know why except if I'm really honest, I guess I would admit I don't make things that are my style.  How weird is that?  and dumb!!  So I made this necklace the other day and just fell in love with it.  It's totally my style: whimsical, eclectic, and unique with a lot of pink thrown in.  As I was taking pictures of it, I decided I was going to keep it!  I even wore it to a friends party, so now the deal is sealed cause it has my cooties on it!  I'm going to be making more, all One-of-a-Kind (OOAK) so check back if you're interested because more are in the works right NOW in my studio!!

Michigan Adventure and a scarf, cause it's Michigan!

Yesterday we were at Michigan's largest amusement park, and honestly, I think it's Michigan's only amusement park, so it's kinda a shoe-in for largest.  Anyway... I, of course, was thinking of you yesterday and took a few pictures.  Now, of course, without my secret spy glasses (please send me a pair for Christmas!)

I could not get a lot of the pictures I know you would have loved to see... for example:

the man with the 1 giant dreadlock (it looked JUST like a coughed up hair ball!!)  coming off his chin!  It was HUGE and the Mister was all like "how does he eat with that thing?"  Well, we found out later when we saw it tucked into his shirt!  Although I wasn't able to take a picture of this dude, I did the research and this is a visual for you, pretend one of these dreads is hanging off a mans chin and you're got the mental picture:

The sexiness was EVERYWHERE yesterday. 

 There was the woman in the wave pool who had 1 side of her bikini top TOTALLY off of what it was suppose to cover.... HELLO!  The people that I'm positive were Edwards cousins (come on people, EDWARD from those vampire books: Twilight).  These WHITE people had NEVER seen the sun till yesterday, I took 10-15 pictures of them, but they were so clear they wouldn't even show up- weird, hun?

The men with pierced nipples, the crocs, the too small bikini's... it was a people-watchers paradise.

Since I do NOT have my secret spy glasses, you'll have to settle for these:

Lots of parents scream at their kids at amusement parks, that place was full of family love!

I handed the camera over to the Mister so he could take a ton of action shots of darling and I riding this super huge and scary baby coaster:

Ok, I did get 1 weird picture.  See the girl in the yellow shirt with a kid handing down from her back?

I have NO idea what she was doing but she was dragging this thing around with that life guard dude, and that trash-sweeper dude.  We watched for a long time but never saw anyone giving it mouth-to-mouth or anything, so I think it was just a group of weird-o's.   See the nice man (below) on the right with his kid? He grabbed the kid by the shoulder and was like "don't you see that woman taking a picture of those weirdo's? stay out of her picture before I beat you!!" Parental love, it was ALL around!  Thanks nice man for only getting part of the way in my shot!!

All in all it was a great day even though on the way home I realized the ONLY ride I went on was the mini-baby coaster... Oh well!

Oh and Darling ate this yesterday:

1/2 cheese burger

1/2 order of fries

1/2 root beer float

(she and I split lunch)

1 blue gator-aid

1 bag mini cinnamon and sugar donuts

1 order deep fried crab cheese

1 deep fried egg roll.

Today she's eating only salad and fruit!!

We're off to a local Amusement and Water park today.  I'm pretty sure they call it "amusement" because of the people you can watch at these places- if ONLY i had those secret spy glasses!!

Just Dance!

IF you have a Wii, may I suggest:

We just got this and let me tell you, Darling and I have been tearing it up!

It's not pretty, something between an elephant making love to a pig and 

Ed Asner on the dance floor!

 Trust me, you'd rather see either of those before you want to see me dance!

BUT... it is FUN and aren't most things that make you look utterly ridiculous the most fun?!

I might add, it's also a GREAT work-out and the most I've moved all summer!

The ONLY thing I'd change: 

Add MORE music!

We LOVE some of the songs/dances, we like some and...

we skip some.

In honor of my new CUTE hair-cut...

So, I HATE doing my hair! I hate drying it and I hate messing with it.

I mean, seriously, look at it... Who do I think I am with that LONG hair...

I just couldn't take it anymore, the 50 gallon drums of shampoo, the 17 hours of drying it every morning, the flat iron... You can see how a girl could loose it!

except not that great nose, the pink fur, the green eyes or the blond part... but other than that, TRY to tell us apart!!
