Oh, I just read I could WIN... I don't think it's a white Range Rover, but still... i want to win, even if it's a years supply of hot dogs that I have to donate to some hot dog eater! (don't even get me started on my EXTREME HATE of hot dogs, right up there with fly's that stand on poo... UGH!).

Darling Daughter's bathroom has been undergoing a minor remodel for the last year.  Nothing too major, we painted, took out the pedestal sink and put in a vintage dresser and the bought a vessel sink 

and the faucet

BUT...the sink is still setting on the dresser and the faucet is under the dresser in the box... We want to put a granite top on the dresser.  The mister talked to a place last year, we decided we'd go with them but then just didn't get them out to measure and don't ya know... they went out of business!  Wheww, glad we didn't give them a deposit or anything!

the room is still a bit blah, so i went to my fave "boutique" (Target) and picked this up for a mere $12.99!

I like how it turned out... now if we can just get the sink situation fixed so darling can use HER bathroom and NOT mine!!

(don't you love how the paint color looks totally different in every picture... the middle one is the real color.  It's a Disney color from Home Depot- I think it's "thatta boy blue").

I really, really, REALLY want a new kitchen next... 

Ewww.... I do NOT like this kitchen!!  Are the white appliances GLOWING and the purple plastic counter tops?  ugh!  Hey, I've had worse in my life, don't get me wrong, but... I believe it can somehow be improved without spending the GIANT bucks!

  While we were at home depot this weekend, I saw these great bluish, turquoise cabinets and had a moment of inspiration!

Due to the fact some low-life parasite owes me $30,000 I will not be getting the kitchen of my dreams this year, but... I'm pretty sure I've convinced the Mister to help me paint the cabinets!  Or, it can be like the time he came home and the island was black!

he went on a hunting trip and came home to the bedroom having all the oak trim removed and the walls re-painted! (I did the painting, he put up the new trim- i'm not THAT handy!)

it was RED RED RED before this!

Of course I wanted to get painting THAT night (after we got home from Home Depot), but since the Mister is all organized and responsible he said "NO, it's 9 at night!  We're not starting till we can take all the doors off and paint outside".  Geesh, he can be a real spoil sport sometimes!

Ok, enough blabberings, I've got to get down to my treadmill - I'm walking EVERYday until my cruise at the end of April!!  As long as those crime shows are on, I don't mind... at least that's what I'm telling myself!  It's called: Positive self-talk! :)

The worlds best gift EVAH and I'm almost famous...

I suppose I should be talking about: Dancing with the Stars, but I don't watch, so let's talk about me...

Yesterday I had lunch with friends:  my twin sister... 

you know: twins, separated at birth reunited at C O by J (this CRAP carpet store we worked at... "Designer Wanted" tricked us in for an interview...) and another friend we met at this job.  I would call this friend "June Cleaver" (because you know I don't use REAL names) but she was never a fan of this... I use to call her this at work and meant it in the kindest way possible.  I meant it in the way that she seemed like the perfect wife and mother, not that she wore an apron and was boring... So instead of June, I'll be calling her Sexy Mama... I'm sure she'd like that much more!  We went to Olive Garden, I got there early, weird, I know!  I'm sitting there by myself with these 2 mechanic guys at the table next to me.  One guy is just sitting there looking bored out of his mind while the other guy is going ON and ON and ON about how much food he eats when he goes to some buffet in town... it was gross.  I have a hate for buffets as it is, but to hear some dude talk about the fact he eats a mound of banana pudding as high as his head...ugh!  The poor guy with him cared as much as I did...

So anyway my girls show up.  I hadn't seen Sexy Mama for a few years so it was great to catch up on what was going on!

Here is twin giving Sexy Mama a sippy cup... cause that's my twin for ya! (Sexy Mama's super cutie grandson joined us, it's not that we just had one of those cups in our purses, though Lord knows they're big enough...).

Twin has been beyond excited to give me my birthday gift (yes, my birthday was Feb 17th, but hey...it's about quality not timeliness!).  She begged for me to let her give me clues, but I peeked at all my Christmas gifts back in 1979 and ruined the surprise and learned that is NO fun!

Ok, let's just get to the pictures and please note: twin took the pictures!  How glad are we she went into Interior Design and NOT  photography?!

Monday, you don't bother me...

When you stay home, one day tends to blend in to the next, Monday is no different for me than Thursday- sounds good, but then Friday isn't quite as exciting.  Don't get me wrong, I love being able to stay home, but sometimes I think "what is my purpose?", I can't even be dressed before 11 am!  I should be getting in the kind of shape other women hate you for, it's not like I don't have the time, I just don't have the gumption and besides... who would hate me?  I have no one to strut in front of in my 1/2 shirt and spandex shirt...

Darling went off to school with no glasses... have YOU seen them?

Do you remember last summer when the Mister was having an affair with his hoe right in our own backyard?  Remember how I got beat up by his hoe and darling daughter's baby hoe?  Yeah, well I did!

Wow,  how was that for a creative title? Nothing like stating the obvious!

So, I'm TRYING to drink more water... I'm someone that is rarely thirsty, I'm just not, I'm the camel girl of West Michigan.  I drink my cup of coffee in the morning and then don't really have another drink until I'm eating a meal- weird, I know! I've never had a big gulp, I gave up pop/soda years ago and with these invisalign braces I'm doing now, if I drink juice I have to floss and brush after, so...i don't!

To make a long story longer... I was sitting here drinking my glass of water, when the inevitable happened- I had to go to the bathroom and WHAT do I see when i go in there?  No, not the normal unflushed braggings of darling daughter, but this:

little clippings of BLACK hair on my hideous "mauve" countertop (NO, i did NOT pick it and hope to send it packing SOON!!)... Hmmmmm!???
I look IN the drawer...

HAIR!!!  BLACK HAIR!!  No??!!.... Darling??  Cutting her own hair??
I was just bragging recently that my child had NEVER cut her own hair... 
do you think she missed the hair-do of her toddlerhood?

Aren't those bangs the kind that would make Vidal Sassoon weep....?

  The fact that it's only about 20 tiny clips of hair, make me pretty sure I wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't left the evidence- she's going to have to cover her tracks better if she expects to get away with stuff like that- I was raised on Magnum PI and learned the way of the sleuth!

My path to Fame and Fortune!

I happen to be that person that thinks fame and fortune is JUST around the corner and I have a several thousand dollar embroidery/sewing machine to prove it!

I'm always on the hunt for the next BIG idea and people, I'll tell ya, I am always a day late and a $ short!

Let me give you a couple examples:

1. Scrapbooking!

In college I would cut out my pictures and then embellish them with sayings and pictures cut out of glamour magazines.  1st scrapbooker ever??- I think SO!  I just didn't realize my greatness or the millions that were going to be made with this craft.

2. The Snuggie!

I've been wearing my robe backwards in bed to read for years... another missed opportunity right there!!

I'm afraid I'm going to be like Grandma Moses (the folk art painter) and not find myself till I'm in my 90's and then I'll have to spend all my money on adult diapers and giant tricycles for the Mister and myself- just my luck!

Though I do NOT believe I will be making fortunes with the following, I think they're cute and I hope you and 3,000 of your closest friends will want one!

They're crocheted with 100% cotton yard and have glass beads sewn on, I think they're pretty cute!  You know, for those 20 (and under) year olds that missed the 80's and are all about giant hair bows - these would work!

Now, yesterday I had someone (thanks Mike) leave me a message requesting I fill out an "INTERVIEW" form about the person behind my blog to be posted on his - they give a shout out to other blogs.  Well, if you know anything about me at all, you know I love to think I'm famous (narcissistic) and that everyone is hanging on my every word (narcissistic), so I hop, skipped, and jumped right over there to fill out the form.  No, they didn't ask for bank account information or my social security number, so I'm sure they're legit, plus I checked his blog.  I was so excited (narcissistic)I filled out the info and hit SUBMIT before I ever reviewed it so I hope there aren't 900 spelling and grammatical errors that will make me sound like someone from The Beverly Hillbillies!

As soon as I get the link to the interview I'll post it here and then I'll start nagging you incessantly to go vote for my interview!  Not sure how many of you were around when I was up for "Funniest Blog", but if you've recovered from all that vote begging- get ready for another round of it!

Ok, besides getting on the path to fame, I did NOTHING yesterday... NOTHING!  I hate days like that! I'm still struggling a bit with having no real purpose from 8-4... well, aside from trying to be famous, obsessively sanitizing my home, and catching up with everyone on facebook!

maybe I'll brush her hair next time and NOT blow out the color with a flash, brother!  It was SO beautiful out yesterday  I had big plans to photograph DD in my crochet headbands, but... something sparkly caught my eye and the photography thought was gone- surprise, I know!  It actually wasn't sparkly, it was something MUDDY- my car!  You could barely see it anymore, so I washed it.  Then Darling decided she wanted to learn to ride her bike with no training wheel (yep, last summer we were down to 1).  How do you explain how to ride a bike any more than "get on and peddle as fast as you can"...
