Running Club

i've had this on my mind for over a year, does that mean i'm suppose to do it? me thinks so!

  i want to start a running club! 

i love to run, but not alone.  anyone that watches as much true life crime as i do couldn't possibly be comfortable running alone, even when one is armed with their pink can of pepper spray!

plus i look cra-cra talking to myself and i just bore myself to death!

i want a running club that is:  full of other chicks that want to run, and a club full of girls that don't mind listening to my chatter for 3-10 miles!  i ran with 3 chickies this morning, i told them my idea and... they were kinda excited!  one of them even suggested we get together after my VACATION (Ooooooo, Soooooo excited about this one, more on that later, i promise!!) and brainstorm!   we definitely need a name for our group, but we are nice girls  so no names like "skanky sneaker sluts"! but what else goes with sneaker...??? swanky...!?!  if you have any ideas, leave it in the comments!!! 

So there is my idea, now i just have to act on it!

I AM a runner!!

So, I said I was going to start running again and I have!!  I still really have to MAKE myself get out there, especially since it's so stinkin' COLD!  Don't you love when you say you're going to do something and you stick to it?  It feels good to tough it out and seeing as how I'm 1/4" from being 5', this is the only thing I'll really ever be tough about!!

Here is my "MUST HAVE" list when running, 'cause I know you wanted to know...

hat, fingerless gloves, ipod nano, pepper spray (for the *#&%# dogs that people leave out while they go to work) and a fleece band to go over my mouth- that cold air does a number on your lungs!!!

Yes, all in pink!!

just got this yesterday and let me tell you.... it is SOOOOOOOO much better than sticking your nano in your running bra!

a little plug about my BABY/KID HAT DRIVE

As most of you know, my daughter was adopted from China and I left a little piece of my heart there.  I'm collecting hats to keep the children and babies warm in the winter.  Many live in orphanages that are without heat.

1. make a baby hat, toddler hat, or kid sized hat 

(you can take the non-crafty way out and buy one if you must)

Some days I know just what to say...

and other days, I have NO idea what to say when I sit down here at my computer!  Today I am uninspired, yesterday was a rotten day and I'm feeling like I have a monday grumpy-hang-over and want to shake it off!

I guess I'll show and tell you what I have want will try to do today:

 I seriously MUST call the groomer for this sexy boy, who is looking so very shabby!

 MUST get on this... didn't go to running club last night, felt like crap.

 Need to take this ugly wall and

 do SOMETHING spectacular on it...oh, the pressure!

 should REALLY get those baby clothes listed on ebay, ugh: the thought of listing and shipping makes me want to drive it straight to Goodwill.  (yes, it's log cabin wallpaper, SHUT UP, I had NOTHING to do with it and choose to pretend it's not there.  Don't worry too much, it's in the back lower level bedroom)  ...did I tell you I'd really love to raise $20,000(?+) to adopt again.. My wonderful agency sends me updates that make me want to run to the airport and hop the next flight to China!!!

Must get this filled with weekly outfits...Darling is too short to reach her clothes and it will make my mornings much more enjoyable.

So, I better get movin', the treadmill WILL happen, the ebay...not so sure!

The old grey mare, she ain't what she use to be...

So, I went to my 1st run last night, I was the only girl, I was the only one who hadn't run in years, and apparently the only one that had a giant spaghetti and meatball dinner BEFORE the run... but, I DID IT!!

4 1/2 miles!!  

No stopping, or puking, only 1 small fart, and no peeing my pants, all in all, I'd say that's a SUCCESS!

I LOVED IT, well, not while I was running, but Oh, the memory of how you feel after you're in shape and running!!  I'm in hopes that in 2 weeks it won't feel like my lungs wanna explode.

I've been saying I'm going to run again for years, I must say I am so proud of myself for taking that first step, which is always the hardest!!
