I was a sticker crazy girl of the 80's...

My mom brought these to me a while back.  2 of my STICKER books!!! I can't even tell you how much i LOVED stickers back in the 80's.  I remember going to hallmark and they had rolls and rolls of them hanging from wooden dowels and you'd tear off those little sheets covered with adorable sticky goodness.

 I hadn't seen these books in years so imagine my delight when I opened the one and found an entire pouch FULL of never before stuck-down-stickers meant for trading.  Trading?  Obviously, I wasn't really into trading, I was more into hoarding!! 

 Fuzzy teddy bears, ugly mice, weird hats, bicentennial stickers and do you see that afro goodness peeking out?  OMG- Puffy Michael Jackson STICKERS!!!!!!!!!!!

 My gosh, do you even remember him looking like this? And by "this" I mean: black with a nose!!

 Top left is a hologram of MJ!! And "Mystiks Fan Club of America", it's full of squishy blue stuff that changes color when you press it- these were special stickers that I have an entire page devoted too and the blue stuff is STILL squishy and turns green when it moves around!  Puffy silk heart stickers with glitter accents? Care Bears, Unicorns and Donkey Kong "high score" sticker- GET OUT!!!  It's like a sticker time machine!

 And, if that doesn't prove how hard core I was, I think this will... The Jewish Stickers, 'cause dude, we aren't Jewish!  Didn't care, if it stuck, I had to have it!!!

Pinterest: an online bulletin board where you can "pin" everything you see online and want to save!  It's like crack for people like me!

I've only wet my toes so far, but it's a slippery slope people, a SLIPPERY SLOPE!  Not only can you "pin" stuff you like, you can follow people and see what they've pinned and once you're into that it's like a labyrinth!  

You can find blogs, flickr people you love, products you must have, clothes you'd die for...Oh it is NEVER EVER EVER ENDING!  I can't breath, I could possibly be having a panic attack- a pink glittery panic attack!  The amount of gorgeous, creative, glittery, whimsical fabulousness that is out there overwhelms me!!!

Since I started this post, I've added new "boards", pinned several items, and re-pinned...AND pushed the dog off my seat 3 times as he likes to lay by me and release toxic dog farts!  

I'm livin' the dream!

Here's my day today (in addition to pinterest):

Yesterday after I ran my right knee was stiff, then it looked like a softball... I have no idea what happened.  I'm laying low and keeping it iced all day.  You know I've got that race this Saturday! Grrr, injuries!

Maybe this messed up my knee, maybe I shouldn't be shaking my $ maker...

No, I definitely shouldn't!!!!

So now I can sit in my chair and make this cute hat and not feel bad that I'm being unproductive.  Ha, who am I kidding, do I ever feel bad about that!?!?

When I was a kid I had a ton of collections: Hello Kitty, miniatures, stickers, rainbow stuff...SO many tiny little things!  I still have my sticker collection and a lot of my now VINTAGE Hello Kitty collection.
