10 Random Things Friday...

i can NOT believe today is friday! this week went soooooo fast for me, i think my mind is still back on monday!

1. darling was a peacock for halloween, i did a terrible, horrible, no good job of taking photo's.  i hope it's nice this weekend so i can put the outfit back on and get some good pictures for her album!

2. we took her trick or treating 2 places, she did not want to go, she hates to say "trick or treat".... we took her to the AA group meeting place (we know a wonderful man that is 1 year sober-yeah!) and the family tavern (we know the owners), true story.

3. our pumpkin for the disney theme contest at school- Cinderella's Carriage.

4. we went to my cousin's fabulous wedding in washington DC this past weekend, it was wonderful!  she and her now husband dated 11 years.  her parents dated 3 days... yes, DAYS!

7. anyone else get sucked into kim's wedding?  i spent more time watching that carnival than it lasted.  who else thinks she did the right thing by cutting bait now?  that dude was a freak and has the maturity level of a 14 year old!

they will all leave for China today!!!

thank you again for everyone's generous donations of hats and $.  i will be including a camera, so let's hope we get pictures again this year!!!

Wish I had a place to wear these...

who's been watching too many episodes of "The Real Housewives"?

 Just kidding, I was never great on the whole roller skate thing! When you have to run into the wall to stop, you probably won't be going Pro!

But usually only have a place to wear these:

for the record these babies are SILK and like $56! For slippers?  Seriously, I buy slippers $12 or less... I go through slippers like crazy!  We don't wear shoes in the house, we live in a winter wonder (?) land, and my feet are like ice cubes on the ends of my ankles, so you'll never have to see/smell these feet bare!  

Ok, on to my lower lever project which is in full swing! I dropped off a trunk-full at Goodwill yesterday and plan on making that the first of many Goodwill drops!

Wish List...

My Birthday is coming, I'm not thrilled...

I don't like thinking about it, I don't want to be old because I don't want to do that weird rocking thing to get up out of chairs, I don't want hairs on my chin, I don't want to not be able to poop, I don't want to eat supper at 4:15...

Here are some things that cheer me up:

this is more "my look" now days

but I want this to be "my look"

i like the socks with the heels, i do... my feet are ALWAYS cold 

and I have a love affair with socks!!

I have a terrible time finding shoes, I wear a 5, not a 5 1/5 people, a 5!

Very high end designer shoes come in tiny sizes... you know, the shoes that start at $1,000 and 

go up from there!

I was reading Danielle Thompson's blog yesterday and she had a link to

John Fluevog's shoes...I think these are

adorable!  Wouldn't they be cute with a Vintage dress or skirt?

TURQUOISE... swoon!

They have shoes IN my size and aren't $1,000, but they aren't $35 either...

more in the $249 range, but did I mention I have a birthday coming?

When I showed them to the Mister he said: "look at that heel?!, it looks like the bottom of a cane!"

Well, since I will be another year older, isn't that fitting?

I have to change something here on the blog... I'm going to have to put that thing... that thing where you have to type in random words to keep spammers out!

Now that I'm famous I have a Chinese spammer!

I woke up and had like 8 new comments on my blog, I was so excited I almost peed (cause you do that too when you get old!) till I saw it was only a bunch of Chinese writing- Hey dude, My daughter is from China, but we don't speak it, nor can we read it!  When I first started my blog I remember reading others who would complain about spammers and I'd think "I can't wait till I'm a big-wig like that", well, my friends- that day has arrived!

So, I'm sorry you have to deal with this change but I sure hope it won't slow down REAL comments because you just make this old woman squeal when I see comments!!!
