Scrapbooking Nerd-fest

I don't know...is scrapbooking dorkie?  You know how you get to a certain age and you're all like "is that still cool?"  Why is everyone looking at me weird?  Is it because I'm wearing 1 sparkly glove?
or why does everyone keep staring at my awesome boyfriends mullet?

My brother always calls us crappers, I then have to explain "we're scrappers that crop, not crappers that scrop" (although, I am NOT saying I'm a scrapper that doesn't crap...I don't need Jamie Lee and her yogurt, if you know what I'm sayin').  Well, regardless of what the world (or brothers) think, I LIKE it!  I like getting together with my goofball friends, I like gettin' crafty and I like looking at all my pictures!  This weekend we cropped Friday night from 6-midnight and Saturday from 9 AM - 9:30 PM, dorkalicious fun!
Friday night Cheeky green and I ran over to Qdoba and I ate a baby.
So this is the only picture I took this weekend-shocking that it's a self portrait, I know! We also got together a couple Friday nights ago and I had a salad...
(Cheeky taking a picture of it...)
that I totally flipped onto the floor...
and here are the dorks taking pictures of it...
Yeah, that's my work space...a little chaotic, yes?!
Today is laundry day so I'm hanging out in the kitchen working on MORE pages, I've only got about 8 more of these boxes FULL of photos....
So, do you still scrapbook? Did you ever? How do you display the pictures you take (and actually print!)? I don't even want to think of the amount of photos my friend "momof5" has...
Ok, off to get nerdy!

I don't scrapbook anymore. BUT it is only because we don't have a scrapbook store anymore. I think it is fun but I also think it would be hard to get back into it now that I haven't done it in a while. I would like to scrapbook our vacations but I think my blog kind of takes the place of journaling - which ironically I NEVER liked doing.

I don't think you are dorky at all. I always had fun at those late night chocolate snacking crops :) (and before that I went to a ceramics class with a bunch of older women --I was in my 20s then-- every Monday night for years!)

Sorry about your salad - I would have laughed and taken pictures too but also would have been a little tiffed that my salad was in the floor.

Nope, scrapping is not dorkie.

I've been in my scrapbooking, sewing, craft and all things I have no where else to put room trying to organize AGAIN. I just have too much stuff.

And your cropping looks like fun and I would fit right in with all my stuff. I haven't been to a crop in ages. I need to call my sis in law and nieces and get them to come over.

Tell your brother than scrapbooking is ART! Like painting, or is it panting.....And when Darling gets older those books will mean so much to her. I hope you are doing a book of your self-portraits. I mean, really....

Um, do I see that is a Wendy's walnut chicken salad with the yummy vinagrette dressing with craisins??? That's my favorite and I'm sad to see it on the floor.

Now, I do not scrapbook. If it weren't for Snapfish putting my album together for me every December, all of my family's life would live on only in my computer. I used to get pictures printed and put them in an album myself, but once the second kid popped out that all stopped. I still have several months worth of hundreds of pictures that will someday end up in a random box that when I die will have my kids asking what happened during those 9 months. You are a dork, but I appreciate your craftiness since I have NONE.

I scrapbook digitally and then print the layouts and put them in albums. I was never very good at paper scrapbooking, I'm MUCH better with Photoshop!
